For example, the word Selah (סֶלָה), appears 74 times in Scripture, commanding us to Pause + Halt—to truly reflect. But the story runs deeper, doesn’t it?

We were today years old when we learned that sela is actually also used in Afrikaans (our mother tongue!) for the same purpose.

In other ancient traditions, ‘se’ speaks to one’s self, new beginnings, or the seed of creation, while ‘lah’ (or la) vibrates with the universal forces of God, energy, and motion.

Put them all together, and se-lah becomes our complete ethos; an intentional, life-giving rhythm of holistic pragmatism:

Jacob (the Supplanter) was blessed with the name Israel (He Who Wrestles with God) after his night of struggle, our rebrand marks our intentional transition from the old nature of striving and chaos to a new, blessed identity of covenant and focused peace.
